Kathy is a board-certified Physician Assistant with over 30 years of direct patient care experience, 25 of them in the field of oncology. In 2002 Kathy became the assistant to the Director of Oncology, Prof. Tamar Peretz, and the Clinical Trials Coordinator for the Sharett Institute of Oncology at the Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, Israel. There Kathy witnessed first-hand the suffering which results from the inordinate length of time it takes for anti-cancer drugs to go through the research and development process. In 2006 when Kathy met Moshe Rogosnitzky and discovered the world of repurposed drug research, she decided to devote her career to this area. Kathy was touched personally by serious illness when her son was diagnosed with an extensive spinal cord tumor as an infant. It was then that she dealt with the medical system from a patient’s viewpoint, inspiring her even more to work toward making treatments affordable and quickly accessible to those in need. Kathy is a founding board member of We Fund The Cure.
